We think this time of year is pretty special. It’s not necessarily because of the giving of gifts, although that’s a pretty cool part, nor due to any particular religious customs which are innately personal, but because of the opportunity, nay, the reminder, we all get to spread love and cheer and kindness to all the sentient beings in the world.

We’re grateful to share this holiday with family, on their way to Virginia as we write this. We’re grateful to have such warm and loving relationships with so many of you. We’re grateful to have a solid roof over our heads, a reliable car, and fresh food on the table. So many fight every day for these basic necessities, and for us to enjoy this abundance is humbling. So we’re also grateful for the reminder that we live in a land of opportunity–opportunity not only to succeed personally, but to help and to be kind to others. We hope that this holiday season helps remind you of the kindness welling up inside of you, simply waiting to bestowed upon the next person you see.

Lastly, so that we can regenerate a little and recharge our creative batteries here, the studio’s going to be closed for the week between Christmas and New Year’s. If you happen to write, we thank you in advance for your patience as we’ll get back to you as soon as the clock strikes 2012. Well, maybe a few hours later. And we’ll have some brand spankin’ new blog posts (superlatives, anyone?) for you then, as well.
